Several newcomers also provided the Aggies with great seasons in 2005. Juniors Vince Rodden (Overland Park, Kan.) and Brandon Lance (Edmond, Okla.) were both stalwarts in their first seasons with the Aggies. Rodden, who was the Aggies' starting center fielder and leadoff man all season, hit .359 with 65 runs scored and 29 RBI. The speedster was also a force on the base paths, stealing a team-high 26 bases this season. Rodden's 64 singles rank him fourth on the single-season list while his 26 stolen bases tie him for eighth on the single-season list. After stealing just 32 bases as a team in 2004, the Aggies swiped an impressive 56 this season.The only thing I would add is that Vince got through 56 starts in centerfield without a single error.
