TOPEKA, KS - The Topeka Golden Giants are pleased to announce their opponent for opening weekend 2010.
The Golden Giants will begin their sixth season of play on Friday night June 4th as they welcome in the Rockford (IL) Foresters of the new Great Plains Baseball League. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
The Golden Giants will face the Foresters all three games that weekend to start the 2010 season off with a bang.
Friday night, June 4th will be St. Francis night, with a post-game fireworks display that the whole family will want to see.
Saturday night, June 5th is Parrish Hotels night. Join us as the Golden Giants look to knock out Rockford beginning at 7:05 pm.
Sunday afternoon, June 6th will be Capitol Federal Retro Day at the Ballpark. The Golden Giants will wear 1950's Topeka Owls throwback jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game. You won't want to miss this one-of-a-kind jersey that will surely be a collector's item for years to come.
