Mudcats over Giants, 10-6

The Giants lose their final home game of 2008. The Chllicothe Mudcats had 10 runs on 16 hits and an error. Topeka had 6 runs on 13 hits and 3 costly late-inning errors.

The Topeka Golden Giants (15-16) now have several days off before travelling to Junction City for two non-league games on the 17th and 18th. The next MINK League contest will be at Mac-N-Seitz on the 20th, and they will wrap up with a doubleheader at Chillicothe (to make up for a rainout on the 12th) on the 22nd.

The first news of the Giants' postseason plans was announced tonight. For the first time the Giants will travel to the Midwest Regional in Valley Center rather than the Central Regional in Clarinda.
