Giants over Grays in 12

The Topeka Golden Giants overcame an early 3 run deficit to win 15 to 7 in a 12 inning marathon. The Giants had 24 hits to the Grays 7. Those 7 Grays hits all occured in the first 3 innings, meaning the Giants pitchers combined for 9 innings of no-hit baseball in the 4th through the 12 innings.

Jason Cooper tied the game in the top of the ninth with a 2 out RBI double.

Ryan Tousley came in from the outfield to pitch the 9th, 10th and 11th innings, keeping the game alive unitl the Giants offense took over in the top of the 12th. Ryan also had a good night at the plate, as did Nick Carlson, Reed Kreiser, and the previously mentioned Cooper.

Hat tip to the Grays for another quality webcast.

Giants are now 5-5 in the MINK, 9-7 overall. Beatrice comes to Topeka on Wednesday night.
