Giants lose in Beatrice, 9-6

The Topeka Golden Giants lost their road game in Beatrice, Nebraska tonight. The game stayed fairly close until the Bruins pulled away with 5 runs (4 from a grand slam) in the bottom of the 8th, giving them a 7 run lead. The Giants answered with 4 runs in the top of the 9th (including a 3-run homer by Chance Tuttle) but were unable to close the gap.

Giants are now 10-9 both overall and in the MINK. According to their webcasters, the first place Bruins now have an overall record of 11-2.

The Giants travel to Clarinda to face the A's tomorrow night.

i believe the game has been moved to topeka for tonight.

I sent an email trying to get confirmation and haven't heard back yet. But I believe anonymous is correct, as Clarinda's website has the game listed as being played in Topeka.
