Still 1-0 Giants after five. Tobi Cowdin comes in to pitch the top of the sixth for the Giants. Frevert pitches 5 innings giving up only 2 hits.
1-1 tie after 5 1/2. Clarinda scores on an RBI double by their leftfielder (#23).
Still 1-1 after six. Brett Mize comes in to pitch the top of the 7th.
Still 1-1 at the stretch.
Giants go ahead in the bottom of the 7th on an RBI single by Martini. Kurt Spomer comes on to pitch the top of the 8th. 2-1 Giants after seven.
Still 2-1 Giants after 7 1/2. Stephen Thompson comes in to pitch the bottom of the 8th for the A's.
It's a fun atmosphere at Lake Shawnee tonight. Joel Ricketts is currently "pinch hitting" for the PA announcer. Fans love the accent.
Evan Marshall comes in to pitch the top of the 9th. 2-1 Giants.
1-2-3. Giants win 2 to 1.

Per request, secondbaseman Blake Stroth struck out looking in the bottom of the first.
I've heard this pitcher for clarinda is pretty good , how does he look tonight?
Stroth grounds out to the Clarinda pitcher in the bottom of the third. Clarinda's pitcher (#33) seems to be getting alot of ground balls.
Dang, whats the score so far? 0-0? hows the defense from Blake?
Re the Clarinda pitcher: after watching more closely in the bottom of the 4th, he's definitely keeping the ball down in the zone and mixing in a pretty good breaking ball. Sinker/slider pitcher perhaps?
Re Blake Stroth: flyout on a foul ball down the left field line in the bottom of the fifth (Sorry to be the bearer of bad news on that front.)
Just not his day on the offensive end....hopefully hes making plays in the field!
Yes, it should be noted that Stroth is doing a good job in the field, as usual.

thanks for the whole season Dan, long way from Australia but you helped us feel like we were there, thanks to all at the Golden Giants, I know the two Aussies really enjoyed their summer, hopefully be back next summer
