Golden Giant Adam Cowart finished his first season as a Wildcat with a 7-4 record and a 3.93 ERA. He led the team with 100.2 IP and had an amazing ratio of 70 Ks (also team-leading) to only 15 bases-on-balls.
As K-State's regular Friday starter, Golden Giant Chase Mitchell spent the spring matched up against some of the best pitchers in the NCAA. He finished with a 7-6 record and 4.45 ERA (second only to Cowart). He struck 61 batters out and walked 32.
Brett Muegge had a 4-2 record and a 5.00 ERA in 8 mid-week nonconference starts for K-State. He struck out 17 batters and walked 10.
All 3 Golden Giant/Wildcat pitchers will benefit from having a familar face-mask behind the plate this summer. Catcher Brandon Farr finished the spring season with a .331 batting average and a .432 OBP.
