After falling behind 4-0 to the visiting Beatrice Bruins, the Topeka Golden Giants came back to tie the game with a 4 run eighth inning fueled primarily by a 3 run double off the bat of Drew Biery. Unfortunately the Giants were not able to move the go ahead run across. The Bruins scored 2 runs in the top of the 9th. They cut the deficit to one in the bottom half of the 9th, but ultimately fell short, losing 6-5
The Giants had 5 runs, 6 hits and no errors. The Bruins tallied 6 runs, 11 hits and 2 errors.
The Giants (9-6) will have another shot at the undefeated Bruins on Thursday night.
