Regular season ends
Turns out that the Beatrice game originally scheduled for Friday had been rescheduled as part of a previous doubleheader. So that means the Golden Giants 2007 regualr season has come to an end. The Giants' final regular season record is 13-20 overall and 11-19 in the MINK, after a 3-1 loss at FCA last night.
Since the Giants did not secure the MINK league pennant (The Beatrice Bruins are the 2007 MINK League champions.), their only availiable route to the National Baseball Congress World Series would be to secure a bid at the NBC Central Regional. Their first postseason game will be at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday the 22nd in Clarinda.

And were back...
It looks like the Giants were rained out versus Beatrice on 6/28. According to the Bruins schedule, the matchups in Topeka on 7/6 and in Beatrice on 7/11 will both be doubleheaders. Game one on Friday the 6th is scheduled to start at 5:00 p.m. As far as I know, it will still be played at Seaman High School.
I don't have any news on the game in Clarinda on the 30th but the Giants lost 2-1 in Chillicothe on Sunday night.
The Mudcats come to Hummer Sports Park tomorrow night, 7 p.m. start.
